Separating Apple VPP tokens between two MDMs in HexnodeSolved

We were using the same Apple VPP token with two different MDM solutions. We are splitting them now so that the old token stays with the other MDM and a new VPP token is used only in Hexnode.

The new token has already been added and synced in Hexnode, and the required app licenses are available under that token. What is the correct way to move the apps that were deployed using licenses from the old token? Do I need to migrate or redeploy the apps before deleting the old VPP account from Hexnode?

Once the required app licenses are purchased or transferred under the new Apple VPP token and the token is synced in Hexnode, no separate app migration is required in Hexnode.

Recommended flow:

1. Add the new VPP token to Hexnode.

2. Sync the VPP account.

3. Confirm that the required apps and license counts are available under the new token.

4. Make sure the new token has enough licenses to cover the devices or users receiving those apps.

5. Remove the old VPP account from Hexnode.

After the licenses are available and synced under the new token, Hexnode can continue handling app license allocation using the new VPP account. Removing the old token from Hexnode should not require redeploying the apps, provided the same apps have sufficient licenses under the new token.
