Android Website Kiosk image loading error in Hexnode Kiosk BrowserSolved

I’m setting up an Android device in Website Kiosk mode using the Hexnode Kiosk Browser in single-tab mode. The main website did not load at first, but after adding the site URL under the Website Kiosk settings, the page started opening.

But now I got another issue. When I click a section of the site that should open an image/document preview, the Hexnode browser shows an error. If I switch the kiosk to use Chrome instead, the same image loads without the error.

Is there something else that needs to be installed or configured for Hexnode Kiosk Browser to handle this properly?

Hello @harold ,

Since your main website is already loading, the next thing to verify is whether the Hexnode Kiosk Browser app is actually installed on the device.

While the kiosk policy is configured to use the Hexnode browser, the application itself still needs to be present on the device for the kiosk session to handle pages and previews correctly.

You can verify the installation by going to:

  1. Manage > Endpoints and select the affected device.

  2. Open the Applications tab.

  3. Search for Hexnode Kiosk Browser.

If the app is not listed, use a Required Apps policy or an Install Application action to deploy the Hexnode Kiosk Browser to the device. Once the app is successfully installed, relaunch the kiosk and test the website again.

Ah, now I see it. the app was not present in the device. I added it through Required Apps and the image preview started working after the app installed.
