I’m trying to add a new super admin in Hexnode, but when setting up the user I can’t select a profile. The profile dropdown doesn’t show anything usable. Is there a separate place where admin-access profiles need to be created before adding the technician?

Yes. When creating a new super admin or technician, Hexnode requires a technician profile with the appropriate role assigned to it.
Try the following:
- Go to Admin > Technicians and Roles.
- Select Create New Technician.
- In the profile selection step, choose a profile that already has admin access.
If no profile is available in the dropdown, create one first:
- Go to Admin > Technicians and Roles.
- Open the Profiles section.
- Click Create New Profile.
- Complete the required profile details.
- Go to the Roles section of the profile.
- Search for and assign the Admin role.
- Make sure the role description indicates Global Access.
- Save the profile.
After this, return to Create New Technician and select the newly created admin-access profile. This should allow the new technician to be created with super admin privileges.
