Only one photo downloads when exporting Android kiosk images on WindowsSolved

I have Android tablets running in multi-app kiosk mode. I enabled Camera under peripherals and added the Camera and Gallery apps to the kiosk screen so drivers can take pictures of paperwork and view them later.

That part is working now, and I can access the photos from DCIM/Camera through File Explorer. The issue is when I select multiple pictures and click Download from a Windows PC. Each file shows a download/progress bar and says downloaded, but only one image actually appears in my browser downloads folder. Downloading the images one by one works.

Has anyone seen this with bulk photo downloads from Android devices?

Hello @gareyy ,

For the download issue, bulk downloads are usually controlled by the browser. Check whether the browser is allowed to download multiple files automatically. In Chromium-based browsers, this is typically under:

Settings > Privacy and security > Site settings > Automatic downloads

Make sure the option to allow sites to ask for multiple automatic downloads is enabled, and confirm that the Hexnode UEM portal is not blocked there.

I checked the automatic downloads setting for Brave and it was already enabled. The download bars still complete, but the files do not show up in the Windows Downloads folder. Only the first selected image gets saved.

That behavior points to a browser-specific download handling issue rather than a Hexnode kiosk or Android file access issue.

If automatic downloads are enabled but selected files still do not save in Brave, try the same bulk download using Chrome or Microsoft Edge or any other browser.

It worked! Switching to Chrome fixed it. Multiple selected photos now download properly from the portal.
