I’m trying to deploy Cisco Secure Client to our Windows devices through Hexnode. The Cisco download gives me a ZIP that includes Setup.msi, OrgInfo.json, and a readme file.
Can I extract the MSI, upload it under Apps > Local Apps, and push it to devices from there? I want to avoid hosting the MSI separately if Hexnode can handle the deployment. Also, will installing only the MSI be enough for the client to register properly?

Yes, you can extract the Setup.msi file and upload it to Hexnode from Apps > Local Apps. Once uploaded, it can be deployed to Windows devices like any other local MSI app.
However, installing the MSI alone may not fully activate or register Cisco Secure Client with your organization. The Cisco package also includes OrgInfo.json, which contains the organization-specific registration information required by the client.

That explains what I was seeing. The MSI installed fine, but the client didn’t look like it was tied to our Umbrella setup. I assumed the MSI had everything bundled in.
