Windows 11 Edge website kiosk not launching on loginSolved

I have a few Windows 11 Pro PCs configured in Hexnode as website kiosks using Microsoft Edge. The standard local kiosk user signs in automatically, but Edge does not always open on login and the device does not enter kiosk mode. Reapplying the kiosk policy and rebooting the device got it working again. I’m also trying to clean up the setup because these PCs have different hostnames. Can I use one kiosk policy for all of them if the kiosk user is a local account?

For a Windows website kiosk using Edge, if the assigned kiosk user logs in but Edge does not launch, reapplying the kiosk policy and rebooting the device can force the device to sync the kiosk configuration again. This is a valid recovery step when the policy was already assigned but the kiosk session did not initialize correctly.

For the multi-device policy setup: yes, you can use a single kiosk policy across multiple Windows 11 Pro devices as long as the kiosk configuration is the same and the local kiosk account name is identical on each device.

For local accounts, the kiosk policy should reference the local account name itself. The device hostname does not need to be included because the policy targets the local user account configured on the device, not the computer name.
