Android Enterprise shared device mode for driver sign-in on HexnodeSolved

We manage a set of Android phones in Android Enterprise Device Owner mode with Hexnode. Each phone is assigned to a delivery van rather than to a single employee. Multiple drivers use the same phone during different shifts, and they need to sign in with their own Entra ID accounts for apps like Outlook, Teams, Edge, and a custom web app. I noticed the Change Owner action in Hexnode, but that looks like an admin-side action rather than something drivers can use to sign in and out themselves. Is there a way to configure Android Enterprise devices in Hexnode as shared devices so each driver can log in and out individually? Or is there another Android management mode that supports this?

Hexnode currently does not provide a native shared device mode for Android Enterprise Device Owner enrollments where end users can sign in and sign out of the device as different managed users. The Change Owner action in Hexnode is intended for administrative reassignment of a device to a different user from the console. It does not create a self-service user-switching flow on the Android device. For the setup you described, where one fully managed Android device is shared by multiple drivers and each driver needs an individual Entra ID-based session, Hexnode does not currently offer an Android equivalent to Shared iPad. Hexnode supports Shared iPad functionality for iOS/iPadOS, but Android Enterprise Device Owner mode does not currently have a comparable shared-user workflow available through Hexnode. At the moment, there is no alternate Hexnode Android enrollment mode or supported workaround that provides this device-level multi-user sign-in/sign-out behavior for Android Enterprise devices.

So work profile wouldn’t help here either? I was thinking maybe each driver could somehow get their own managed profile on the same phone.

A work profile is designed for personally owned or profile-based management scenarios, not for multiple employees rotating through the same fully managed device. It would not provide separate driver sessions on a single shared Android Enterprise Device Owner device. If the requirement is that each driver has a distinct device-level managed identity and can switch in and out from the phone, that workflow is not currently supported for Android devices in Hexnode.
