Open Microsoft Edge in full screen for Windows Website Kiosk modeSolved

Hi everyone. I’m configuring a Windows device in Hexnode using Website Kiosk mode with Microsoft Edge. The kiosk launches the configured website, but I need Edge to automatically open in full screen mode.

I checked the Windows Website Kiosk policy settings in the portal but couldn’t find an option to force full screen mode for Edge. Is there a setting or a workaround to enable automatic full screen behavior for Edge in Website Kiosk mode?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Hexnode Connect!

Hexnode does not currently provide a built-in policy setting within the Windows Website Kiosk configuration to force Microsoft Edge into full screen mode automatically.

However, you can achieve automatic full screen behavior by using a custom script workaround:

  1. Create a script tailored to your environment that launches Microsoft Edge with full screen display state.
  2. Deploy the script to your target Windows devices using Hexnode’s remote action by navigating to Manage > Devices > [Select Device] > Actions > Deployment > Execute Custom Script.

Executing this custom script on the target devices will allow you to enforce the full screen display behavior alongside your kiosk setup.

I hope this helps you configure your Windows kiosk deployment! Please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions.

Best regards,
