Mac still shows enrolled after removing the Hexnode MDM profile locallySolved

We removed the Hexnode MDM configuration profile directly from a Mac. The profile is no longer visible on the device, but the Mac still appears as enrolled in the Hexnode portal.

Is this expected behavior? I assumed removing the profile locally would also remove or update the device status in Hexnode.

Yes @ace_98, this can happen if the MDM profile is removed directly from the Mac instead of initiating disenrollment from the Hexnode portal.

Removing the MDM configuration profile locally stops management on the device, but it does not automatically send a server-side disenrollment request to Hexnode. Since the disenrollment was not triggered from the portal, Hexnode may continue to show the Mac as enrolled or registered.

To update the device status correctly, initiate disenrollment from the Hexnode portal:

  1. Go to Manage > Devices.
  2. Select the affected Mac.
  3. Open the Actions menu.
  4. Choose Disenroll Device.

Once the disenrollment action is triggered from the portal, the device status should update accordingly in the console.
