Will enforcing Microsoft Entra ID authentication affect already enrolled devices?Solved

I’m planning to update our Hexnode enrollment settings to enforce Microsoft Entra ID authentication. Before enabling it, I want to confirm the impact: will this change affect devices that are already enrolled, or does it only apply to devices enrolled after the setting is changed? I’m mainly concerned about existing devices being interrupted, unenrolled, or prompted to authenticate again.

Hello @yasmin_farooq ,

Enforcing Microsoft Entra ID authentication in the enrollment settings will not affect devices that are already enrolled in Hexnode UEM.

Existing devices will continue to remain enrolled, sync normally, and receive policies as before. They will not be unenrolled, interrupted, or forced to re-authenticate because of this change.

The updated authentication requirement applies only to new device enrollments after the setting is saved. During enrollment, users enrolling new devices will be required to authenticate using their Microsoft Entra ID credentials.
