For Android Enterprise setup in Hexnode, the account used for binding must be a Google account.

If your current Hexnode portal login is an Outlook or other non-Google email address, you cannot use that exact email directly to create the Android Enterprise binding. You should create or use a dedicated Google account for managing the Android Enterprise setup.

Best practice is to use a Google account that is meant specifically for device management rather than a personal account. This helps avoid access issues later if the person who created the binding leaves the organization or no longer manages the portal.

That makes sense. This is only a test portal for validating the setup before creating the actual customer portal, so I’ll create a separate Google account for the Android Enterprise binding.

We do the same for demo and customer portals. Keeping a separate Google account for each Android Enterprise binding makes it much easier to track ownership and avoid mixing test and production enrollments

For a test or trial portal, using a dedicated Google account is the right approach. When you later create the production portal, bind Android Enterprise there with the Google account intended for that customer or organization.

Avoid reusing a non-Google portal login email for Android Enterprise enrollment, and avoid using the same management account across unrelated customer environments unless that is part of your organization’s intended management model.
