One of our Android tablets appears to got powered off, and the only thing showing in Hexnode is the last known location before it went offline. Is there any way to track the tablet after the battery is dead, or is the last known location all we can use?

Hello @v_collins ,

A powered-off Android device, or one with a dead battery, cannot report a live location because it no longer has network connectivity or active GPS services. This means Hexnode, like any MDM solution, cannot ping the device for a real-time location while it is offline.

The best option is to use the device’s last known location and review its previous movement history in Hexnode UEM. To check this:

  1. Go to the Manage tab in the Hexnode UEM portal.
  2. Open the affected Android device.
  3. Select Location History.
  4. Review the chronological location entries with timestamps.

This can help identify where the tablet was shortly before it powered off or lost connectivity.
