After a Windows update restart, one of our laptops started prompting the user to re-enter their cloud password to sync with the local account. It then showed an error saying to make sure the device is connected to the internet and try again, even though Wi-Fi was connected at the login screen.
The affected account is a local account created through Google Workspace/Hexnode Access. Restarting the laptop did not help, and there were no recent password changes in Google Workspace. The user could still get in using the fallback work sign-in option.
I also noticed the Hexnode Access Policy for this device was stuck as “In progress,” and a manual sync from the device failed. Does the login fix apply automatically to all Windows devices, or only after the Access Policy is successfully applied?
