iPhone not appearing in Hexnode ADE after assigning it in Apple Business ManagerSolved

I’m trying to enroll a new iPhone through Apple Business Manager and Automated Device Enrollment. The device is assigned to the Hexnode MDM server in ABM, but it still doesn’t show up under the ADE devices list in Hexnode. I waited overnight and also tried using Sync All ADE Accounts, but nothing changed. The ADE account sync status shows as failed. What usually causes this?

If the ADE account sync status shows as failed, Hexnode will not be able to fetch newly assigned devices from Apple Business Manager. One common reason is that the ADE server token has expired or needs to be renewed.

To renew the ADE token:

  1. Log in to Apple Business Manager.
  2. Go to Devices.
  3. Open Management and select the relevant MDM server under Device Management Services.
  4. Click the ellipsis menu in the upper-right corner.
  5. Select Download Token and confirm Download server token.
  6. In the Hexnode portal, go to Admin > Automated Device Enrollment > Accounts.
  7. Hover over the ADE account/server name and click Edit.
  8. Upload the newly downloaded server token.
  9. Click Save.

10. Run Sync All ADE Accounts again.

After the token is renewed and the sync completes successfully, devices assigned to the Hexnode MDM server in Apple Business Manager should appear in the ADE device list.
