Hello @benjay ,
Yes, you can enroll the Android display in Device Owner mode using the DPC identifier method instead of QR code enrollment.
Use the following steps:
- Start with a new device or factory reset the display.
- Proceed through the initial Android setup screens until you reach the Google account sign-in screen.
- In the email field, enter: “afw#hexnodemdm“
- Tap Next. Android should recognize the DPC identifier and prompt you to install the Hexnode for Work app.
- Install and open the Hexnode app.
- When prompted for server authentication, choose the manual option and enter your Hexnode portal name.
- Accept the Hexnode End-User License Agreement.
- Continue through the prompts to allow Hexnode to provision the device in Device Owner mode.
- Grant the required permissions when prompted, such as Device Administration, Notification Access, Usage Access, Draw Over Other Apps, and Write System Settings.
- Complete the setup. Enrollment is complete once the work account is generated successfully.
This method is useful for Android devices such as interactive displays, kiosks, or panels that cannot scan QR codes during setup.
Regrads,
Simon Scott
