Unable to delete a Hexnode user because a device is assignedSolved

I’m trying to delete a user from the Hexnode portal, but selecting Delete from the Actions menu doesn’t remove the user. I noticed there is still a device assigned to that user. Is that why the delete action is not working?

Yes. A user cannot be deleted while a device is still associated with that user. Reassign the device to another owner first, then delete the original user.

You can change the device owner using these steps:

  1. Login to Hexnode UEM.
  2. Navigate to Manage > Users .

2. Open the user profile you want to delete.

3. Switch to the Devices tab.

4. Select the assigned device.

5. Click Actions in the top-right corner and choose Edit.

6. Select Change Owner.

7. Assign the device to another user.

After the device is reassigned successfully, return to the original user and delete them from the portal.
