Cannot find option to completely remove a technician from the MSP portalSolved

We recently had a senior engineer leave our organization abruptly, and I am currently executing our standard off-boarding protocols. For internal security and compliance reasons, I need to completely revoke his access and purge his profile from our Hexnode MSP portal immediately.

However, when I navigate through the console, the only options available are to swap his assigned permissions. I am not seeing any toggle or button to outright disable or delete the account.

Am I missing a hidden menu here? We need this user removed as soon as possible to maintain our security posture and free up the license.

Hello,

Thanks for reaching out to the Hexnode Connect. I completely understand the urgency here regarding your off-boarding process and the need to maintain strict security compliance.

To clarify the current behavior within the MSP portal: you can manage and reassign specific role privileges in the console. However, because technician accounts are deeply tied to multiple data points, the MSP portal does not feature a self-serve Delete or Deactivate button. This is an intentional safeguard designed to prevent accidental or malicious orphaning of critical historical data.

Permanent account deactivation and removal must be processed and authorized by our partnership team.

I have already escalated this specific issue to the partnership team on your behalf. They will be reaching out to your registered email address very shortly to verify your administrative credentials and execute the safe removal of that technician’s account.

Please let me know if you have any other questions while we get this sorted out for you!

Best regards,
George
