Hey! Is there a way to directly install updates on a Windows device while viewing that specific device? I can see updates are available, but I don’t see an option to just apply them there. I’m looking for something quick without setting up anything extra.

I looked for the same thing earlier. From what I’ve seen, that screen mostly lets you check or rescan updates, but not trigger the install directly.
Right. What I ended up doing instead was using the automation side of things. Took me a bit to realize that’s where Windows patching is actually handled.
Oh interesting! So, you’re not doing it per device?
Not exactly. I just created a quick patch automation, scoped it to the device (or a small group), and triggered it. It works pretty fast once it’s set up.
Yeah, that’s been my approach too. Not exactly one-click from the device view, but close enough once you get used to it.
Got it — so no direct action from that screen then. Was hoping for a simpler one-click option.
Hi all.
Currently, for Windows devices, patch deployment follows a structured automation-based approach rather than allowing direct installation from the device view. I’ll check the feasibility of enabling a more direct action like this with our team and raise it as a feature request.
