Hey everyone, I ran into an issue while enrolling a new Android device in kiosk mode. The enrollment kept failing with an error related to communication with Google Play services.

Has anyone seen this before or knows what might be causing it?

Oh, maybe try adding the Play Store in the kiosk policy? Not completely sure, but it might help.

Hi @wilma,

@ryker is spot on. This enrollment issue usually occurs when essential system apps are restricted in kiosk mode. The Play Store (com.android.vending) is required in the background to enable proper communication with Google Play services during Android Enterprise enrollment and app provisioning.

If it is not included as a background app, the enrollment process may fail with communication errors.To resolve this, update your kiosk policy to include the Play Store under background apps, and then retry enrolling the device. This should fix the issue.
