Hi everyone, I’ve set the location update interval to 15 minutes for my Android devices. But I’m noticing that Hexnode only reports location when the device is actively being used. Anyone knows why?

Hmm, not totally sure, but I think it might depend on the Hexnode app’s location permission. If it isn’t allowed for all the time then tracking might stops when the device isn’t active.

Even with a 15‑minute interval configured, Hexnode UEM can only fetch location updates when the device meets the required conditions.
For Android devices, here are a few common checks to ensure tracking works as expected:
- Make sure the Hexnode for Work app or the Hexnode UEM – Legacy app has its location permission set to Allow all the time.
- Verify that location services are enabled.
- Confirm that the device has an active internet connection.
