Hi, I keep getting this message: “The app with iTunes Store ID 364709193 is already installed” on an iOS device. How can I stop this message?

Are you trying to deploy the app through a Required Apps policy?

Yes, I added it to a Required Apps policy and assigned it to a device group. I thought it would just ensure the app is installed.

Got it. Do you know if this is a default iOS app?

I’m not sure, I just used the App Store ID while adding it.

Hi @margaret,

It appears that you are attempting to install a system application on the device. These apps are already installed on iOS devices by default, which is why you’re seeing this message. When such apps are included in a Required Apps policy, the console will still attempt installation and return this message since the app already exists on the device.

To resolve this, remove the app from the Required Apps policy, then save and reapply the policy to the device.

Additionally, if you have configured any Allowlist policies, make sure this app is included there. Otherwise, the app may not be accessible on the device even though it’s already installed.

Got it. I’ll update both policies. Thanks!
