Android Enterprise Setup RemovedSolved

Hi Team,

We have accidentally removed our Android Enterprise setup from the Google Play Console. We now need to reconfigure the Android Enterprise integration with Hexnode to resume device enrollments.

We currently have 267 devices enrolled and are concerned about losing management control or triggering a mass disenrollment 😬. Is there any way to recover the setup so that we can retain management of the existing devices while enabling new enrollments?

Any guidance on the recommended approach would be really helpful.

Hi @lucaas.

Since your Android Enterprise setup was configured using a Managed Google Play account via the Google Play Console, removing it from the console breaks the existing association with Hexnode UEM.

In this case, the only supported approach is:

  • Disenroll all currently enrolled devices.

  • Reconfigure the Android Enterprise setup in Hexnode.

  • Re-enroll the devices under the new setup.

You can refer to our help documentation on How to Enroll Organization in Android Enterprise?

Let us know if further assistance is needed.

Best Regards,

I can really relate to your situation, @lucaas . We’ve been through this before as well.

From our experience, it’s best to plan the re-enrollment in phases to keep things under control and minimize disruption. This approach helps avoid a full-scale impact on all devices at once and allows you to gradually bring devices back under management.

Also, make sure to communicate the process clearly with end users so they’re prepared for any temporary changes during re-enrollment.
