I want to automate actions like lock device and wipe device on my Android devices enrolled as Device Owner when they become inactive. How can I set this up in Hexnode UEM?

Hey @verbnigge ,
You can automate those actions from the Automate tab. Under the Activity trigger, you’ll find the options: on Device Inactive and on Device Inactive For. The first option executes the action as soon as the device becomes inactive, while the second lets you configure an inactivity duration. Once the device meets that condition, Hexnode will perform the selected action immediately. Just make sure the Hexnode For Work app has the Alarms and reminders permission enabled.
How do I enable that permission?
You can enable it directly from the Hexnode For Work app on the device:
- Open the Hexnode For Work app.
- Tap the menu icon on the top left corner.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap the three dots on the top right corner.
- Select Permissions.
- Enable Alarms and reminders.
Once this permission is granted, the automated actions (Lock device and Wipe device) will be triggered without a delay when the device becomes inactive.
