Hey everyone! I’m managing Android devices and need to restrict Bluetooth. Where exactly can I find this option?

Hi @haanaa ! You’ll find it under Basic Restrictions in Android Restrictions policy.

Yep, found them 😄 But now I’m confused! I see both Bluetooth and Force Bluetooth. What’s the difference between the two? They sound kind of similar.

Hi everyone! @haanaa , both Bluetooth and Force Bluetooth options are related. Here’s how these options work:

  • Bluetooth: When this option is unchecked, users are restricted from turning Bluetooth on. By default, Bluetooth usage is allowed on the device.
  • Force Bluetooth: This option applies only when Bluetooth is already enabled. It prevents users from turning Bluetooth off. On Samsung Knox devices, Bluetooth cannot be disabled at all. On standard Android devices, if a user attempts to turn it off, it will automatically be re-enabled.

These options do not change the Bluetooth state themselves; they only control whether users can modify the setting.

Got it, thanks! I thought these settings actually turned Bluetooth on or off, so this explanation really helps. Makes sense now that it’s just about limiting what users can change.
