I might be in a mix here, but I am hoping someone here can point me in the right direction. We have multiple business systems like ERP, CRM, billing, and reporting tools, and we constantly struggle with data inconsistencies. Customer names, product IDs, and vendor records don’t always match across systems, which causes reporting and reconciliation issues.

I initially thought this is something an MDM solution could help with, since we already use Hexnode for endpoints. Is this something that falls under MDM, or am I misunderstanding what MDM is used for?

What you are describing isn’t Mobile Device Management, but Master Data Management. Master Data Management focuses on creating and maintaining a single, authoritative source of truth for core business data such as customers, products, vendors, and locations across multiple enterprise systems. It ensures data consistency, governance, and accuracy at the application and database level.

Mobile Device Management, like what Hexnode provides, deals with managing endpoints such as phones, tablets, laptops, and their security, policies, and compliance. It doesn’t handle business data synchronization between systems. For your use case, you would want to explore a Master Data Management solution rather than an endpoint management platform.
