Hey folks, I’m hitting a wall here. My DEP sync keeps failing, and the error says something about the latest Apple DEP terms not being accepted. I’m not sure if I missed something or if another admin already handled it. Anyone else run into this?

Bruh, I had that same thing last month. Thought my portal was broken or something. Turns out Apple just loves tossing new terms at us.
Lol, Apple terms are like those pop-up ads you never read but gotta click anyway. I once ignored it for weeks, then wondered why my devices were stuck in limbo. Pro tip: don’t overthink it, just hit accept or get someone else to do it.
Hello everyone, thank you for raising this concern.
The DEP sync failure typically occurs when the latest Apple DEP terms and conditions have not been accepted in Apple Business Manager (ABM). In such cases, please log in to ABM and accept the terms. If another administrator has already accepted them, the sync should resume normally.
However, if the sync continues to fail, you can renew the ADE token without needing to accept the terms again. Here are the steps:
-
Log in to Apple Business Manager (ABM).
-
Download a new server token.
-
Upload the token in your Hexnode MDM portal.
This will renew the ADE token and extend its validity, resolving the sync issue.

Yep, that’s the move. Grab the new server token, toss it into Hexnode, and you’re golden. I actually schedule a reminder every year to refresh mine, so I don’t get caught off guard.
Same here! Did the renewal last week. Honestly, it’s smoother than I expected. Apple terms can be annoying, but once you know the token trick, it’s like a cheat code for avoiding downtime.
