How to set up macOS auto-lock after inactivity using Hexnode ?Solved

Hey everyone, I’m fairly new to Hexnode and we were recently migrated to Hexnode UEM. I’ve started getting used to it, but the UI and navigation feel quite different from the previous MDM we were using. I was wondering where I can find the macOS screen lock after inactivity setting in Hexnode policies.

Thanks in advance!

Hi @sophia_miller,

Thanks for reaching out, and welcome to Hexnode UEM. Happy to help you with this.

You can configure the screen lock after inactivity under the Passcode policy for macOS. Please follow the steps below:

  1. Login to Hexnode UEM.
  2. Goto Policies > New policy > Help me create a new policy > macOS > Next > Enterprise > Next.
  3. Then select Passcode policy and click Configure.
  4. Look for the Auto-lock setting. You can configure it using one of the following values: Never (default), 1 minute2 minutes3 minutes4 minutes5 minutes10 minutes and 15 minutes.

After configuring the policy, associate it with the target devices and the setting will be applied.

Let me know if you need any more help.

Cheers,
