We’ve got a client looking for something that works smoothly for BYOD Android. Their goal is simple: control a bunch of work apps during work hours only.
They want something like:
“Work apps come alive at 9 AM and go back to sleep at 6 PM.”
Basically, time-based app access for Android BYOD without poking around in users’ personal apps. Anyone know if Hexnode can handle this kind of schedule-based control?

Yep, Hexnode can do this.
On Android BYOD, everything runs inside the Android Enterprise Work Profile, so the restrictions touch only the work apps, not the user’s memes, reels, or food delivery addictions.
The trick is:
You first create a Blocklist policy that includes all the work apps you want to restrict. Save it so you have a clean “after-hours lockdown” policy ready. Then you hop into Automation, click Associate Policy, and pick up the blocklist policy you created.
At the start time (say 6 PM), the automation applies to the blocklist.
At the morning time (say 9 AM), you schedule a Remove Policy action, so everything goes back to normal. It’s basically like giving your apps a curfew. I recommend you to check out their help documentation of Android that walks through creating a blocklist policy and automating it. I think they have everything you need mentioned in the help documentation.
