We’re excited to unveil the latest evolution of Hexnode Genie, now reintroduced as Hexnode Genie AI, your AI powered inventory and troubleshooting analyst inside the Hexnode console.

Hexnode Genie AI is designed to help you quickly resolve questions and doubts about Hexnode. With this update, Genie goes a step further. It can now, based on admin permissions, securely fetch information (device status, enrollment details, compliance info) from within your Hexnode portal, allowing it to respond with real context instead of generic answers.

You can launch the Hexnode Genie AI chat from anywhere in the console using a simple keyboard shortcut. Use Command + G on macOS or Ctrl + G on Windows, and Genie AI is ready to help.

Beyond answering questions, Genie AI also helps when things go wrong. If a script execution fails on a device, you can head to the action history and click the Genie AI button displayed next to the failed action to get troubleshooting guidance instantly.

To get started, admins can configure Genie AI from the Hexnode Genie AI tab under the Admin section. The following permissions are available:

  • Enable L1 technical support chat assistance (Powered by Genie AI)
  • Allow Genie AI access to error messages for troubleshooting
  • Allow Genie AI access to scripts to help in troubleshooting

With these enhancements, Hexnode Genie feels less like a help bot and more like a smart assistant inside the console, ready to answer your questions, surface the right information, and help you get unstuck faster.
