Hexnode now introduces Self Service device management for macOS, empowering standard account users to temporarily elevate their privileges when administrative actions are needed, all while keeping IT in control.

Whether it’s installing applications, updating configurations, or tweaking system files, users with standard accounts can now request short-term admin access directly from the Hexnode UEM app. The access automatically reverts once the configured time expires, ensuring security stays intact.

Admins can also define how long the elevation lasts and how many times per day it can be used, maintaining a perfect balance between autonomy and oversight.

The feature is live – go check it out! If you’d like a walkthrough, check out our documentation for full details and setup guidance.
