Hello,
By default, Hexnode uses OpenStreetMap, powered by the Leaflet library, to display device locations. This map service is lightweight, open-source, and works efficiently across all browsers.
For organizations that prefer Google Maps, you can integrate it by adding a Google Maps API from Google Cloud. After you integrate this, Hexnode will automatically switch to Google Maps. Keep in mind that Google requires you to enable billing to use its APIs.
It’s important to remember that changing the map type only affects how locations are displayed, not how they are collected. Hexnode continues to gather location data directly from the device through methods like GPS, Wi-Fi, or network triangulation.
Best regards,
George
