We’re making Wi-Fi security on Android devices more robust with support for WPA3 – Enterprise Wi-Fi configurations in Hexnode UEM.
With WPA3 – Enterprise, administrators can configure managed Android devices running Android 12 and later to connect to Wi-Fi networks using stronger security standards while choosing the security level and authentication method that best fits their organization’s requirements.
With this update, you can configure Android Wi-Fi profiles with the following WPA3 security modes:
- Standard (128-bit): Provides 128-bit security and supports TLS, PEAP, TTLS, and PWD as EAP authentication methods.
- High security (192-bit): Provides enhanced 192-bit security and supports TLS as the EAP authentication method.
Whether you’re looking for broader compatibility with different EAP authentication methods or stronger security for sensitive network environments, these options give you greater flexibility when configuring WPA3 Wi-Fi profiles for your Android fleet.
To get started, configure a Wi-Fi profile with WPA3 – Enterprise security and deploy it to your managed Android devices.
