User Enrollment for iOS is a new enrollment method that lets organizations manage personally-owned devices. It supports a subset of device management functionalities that let the admins access and control only the managed apps and data.
Supported on iOS 13.0+ and iPadOS 13.1+.
With this new enrollment technique, BYOD deployments on iOS become more straightforward. All it requires is a Managed Apple ID to authenticate the enrollment. It helps create a user identity on the device and exists alongside the personal Apple ID. As the enrollment completes, a separate volume containing the managed data is created to differentiate user data from it.
