Currently, there is no option in Hexnode to restrict iOS system updates over cellular data. As a workaround, you can restrict managed apps from using cellular data through policy configurations. While this won’t prevent iOS updates themselves, it can help reduce overall cellular data consumption on the device. Additionally, you may consider using the OS update deferral option to delay updates, giving you better control over when updates are installed.

Yeah, that’s what we ended up doing too. Between app-level cellular restrictions and update deferral, it’s manageable, though not a complete solution.

Same here. We also informed users to connect to Wi-Fi before updating, which helped in practice.
