Hi @karabo! Could you please confirm the enrollment type used for the device? That will help us guide you better.
If the device is enrolled via Android Enterprise, you can reset the forgotten password using the Clear Password remote action in Hexnode. Here’s what you need to do:
- Log in to your Hexnode UEM portal.
- Go to Manage > Devices.
- Select the device to clear password from.
- Click on Actions and choose Clear Password.
This will immediately remove the password from the device.
Please note the following:
- For devices running Android 7.0 or later, ensure that:
- The latest version of the Hexnode for Work app is installed on the device.
- The password token is activated within the Hexnode for Work app.
- On profile owner enrolled devices, only the work profile password can be cleared using this remote action.
- If the user has entered the wrong password multiple times, the device may be locked temporarily. You’ll need to wait until the lock-out period ends before you can perform the Clear Password action.
After the password is cleared, you can set a new one using the Set Password remote action.
