A Lenovo Android tablet in kiosk mode keeps rotating the screen even though we expected it to stay in portrait. The device has an Android kiosk policy applied, along with a basic restrictions configuration. I noticed the screen orientation option was set to “User can choose.” Does that still allow the tablet to rotate based on the sensor?

Yes @sammyy. If the screen orientation setting is configured as “User can choose,” Android can continue using the device’s physical orientation sensor, so the tablet may rotate when it is turned.
To lock the kiosk screen to portrait, update the Android policy so that the screen orientation is explicitly set to “Portrait” instead of “User can choose.” Once the updated policy is synced to the device, the kiosk view should remain fixed in portrait orientation.
