We’re trying to set up Microsoft Entra Conditional Access with Hexnode, but ran into a roadblock. The guide says to create a Partner Connector in Intune, but Intune doesn’t let us do that. Do we need an Intune license for this?

If that so, why not we just go with Intune as MDM instead of other MDMs.
I think Microsoft has some licensing rules around Conditional Access. Not sure if it’s tied to Intune specifically.

Hello everyone, thanks for bringing this up.
For integration with Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft requires that the tenant holds a license which includes Microsoft Intune. The Partner Connector setup is tied to this licensing model, and without Intune in the bundle, the integration steps cannot be carried out.
This is the way Microsoft currently permits third‑party MDMs to integrate with Microsoft Entra for Conditional Access.
