I’m enrolling a batch of identical Android tablets in Hexnode, and they all show up with similar/default names. Is there a way to change the device name or assign a friendly name so each tablet is easier to identify in the portal?

Yes. You can rename an enrolled Android device or set a friendly name from the Hexnode portal.
Use either of these methods:
1. Go to Manage > Devices.
2. Open the Android device you want to rename.
3. Select the device name shown near the top-left of the device page.
4. Edit the name and save the change.
Alternatively:
1. Go to Manage > Devices.
2. Select the required device.
3. Choose Actions > Edit > Rename Device.
4. Enter the new name or friendly name and save it.
This is useful when managing multiple identical tablets, since each device can be labeled with a unique name for easier identification.
