I’m managing a couple of Android TV OS projectors with Hexnode UEM for Android TV in Multi-App Kiosk mode. One of the projectors was tested at another location and then moved to a new site. The old Hexnode Launcher still starts correctly on boot, and the kiosk restrictions such as blocking the Home button are still active. But in the Hexnode console, the device has not checked in for several days, so it looks like it cannot communicate with Hexnode anymore.
I need to update the local Wi-Fi/network settings, but Android TV Settings is blocked by kiosk mode. The kiosk exit settings were configured before the device went offline: – Manual kiosk exit is enabled – Exit passcode is configured – Number of taps to show the passcode popup is set to 10 – Reboot and tap to exit kiosk mode is enabled – Relaunch app after reboot is set to 20 seconds – Auto-enable kiosk mode is disabled Can kiosk mode still be exited locally while the device is offline?
Also, since this is an Android TV device without a touchscreen, how do the 10 taps work with a TV remote?
