Hello Hexnode Community,

We are excited to announce a powerful under-the-hood enhancement to our location-tracking capabilities for Android devices! We know how crucial it is to maintain continuous visibility over your mobile fleet, even when devices travel through dead zones or temporarily lose internet access.

What’s new?
Previously, if a device went offline, location tracking would pause until the connection was restored. With the new Offline Location Tracking update, the Hexnode app will continue to quietly collect and store location data locally on the device, regardless of network connectivity.

How it works:
The moment the device regains internet access, the locally cached data is synced to the server. Your Hexnode portal will immediately update to show the latest recorded location point from that offline period, ensuring your dashboard is as accurate and up to date as possible.

How to configure it:
The best part? This is a seamless backend enhancement. There are no new UI changes or complex settings to configure! If you already have standard Location Tracking enabled for your Android devices, this new offline-syncing capability is automatically applied and working for you.

As always, let us know if you have any questions or feedback!

Cheers,
Eden Pierce
