I’m trying to deploy a Hexnode Store app to macOS devices and wanted to use a policy under macOS > App Management > Required Apps. When I click Add App, I only see options like Local Apps/Store App/Enterprise App, but not Hexnode Store.
The goal is to have the app install automatically when a Mac joins a dynamic device group, similar to how Required Apps policies enforce apps immediately based on policy targets. Is there a way to add Hexnode Store apps to Required Apps for macOS?

Hexnode Store apps are not currently supported for policy-based deployment through macOS Required Apps.
For macOS, Hexnode Store apps can be deployed using either of these methods:
1. Direct installation
– Go to Manage > Devices.
– Select the target macOS device.
– Choose Actions > Applications > Install Application.
– Select the required Hexnode Store app and install it.
2. Automation
– Go to Automation.
– Create a new automation for macOS.
– Select Install Application as the action.
– Choose the required Hexnode Store app.
– Assign the automation to the target devices or device groups.
However, Automation does not behave exactly like a Required Apps policy. It runs based on the configured schedule or trigger and does not provide the same immediate policy enforcement when dynamic group membership changes.
