Hi @calebakem,
There are two methods to clear or bypass the “Locked to Owner” (Activation Lock) screen on an iPhone using Hexnode UEM. Please note that these methods work only if the device is supervised and enrolled in Hexnode using Automated Device Enrollment (ADE) before it was locked.
Method 1: Clear Activation Lock remote action
Best option if the device is connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data.
- Log in to your Hexnode UEM portal.
- Go to Manage > Devices and click on the affected iPhone.
- Select Actions at the top right.
- Click Clear Activation Lock.
Once the command completes, restart the iPhone and proceed with setup without needing Apple ID credentials.
Method 2: Manual Bypass Code Entry
Best option if the device is offline and cannot receive remote commands.
- In the Hexnode portal, go to Manage > Devices and open the iPhone’s details page.
- Under the Device Details / Summary section, locate the Activation Lock Bypass Code.
- On the iPhone’s Activation Lock screen:
- Leave the Apple ID username field blank.
- Enter the Bypass Code into the Password field.
- Tap Next.
