Android app installed but not showing in Hexnode multi-app kioskSolved

I’m trying to add a Google Play Store app to our Android devices that are already running in multi-app kiosk mode through Hexnode. The existing kiosk apps are working, but the new app either doesn’t appear on the kiosk screen or isn’t accessible to users after I add it. The devices are enrolled as Android Device Owner, and some are Samsung Knox devices. What is the correct way to deploy a new app so it gets installed and also shows up in the kiosk launcher?

For Android multi-app kiosk, adding the app for installation and allowing it in the kiosk are two separate steps.

Use this flow:

1. Add the app to Hexnode

– Go to Apps > Mobile Apps.

– Add the required app from the Google Play Store.

2. Add the app to the kiosk policy for installation

– Go to Policies.

– Open the active kiosk policy applied to the devices.

– Navigate to the Android app/kiosk configuration section.

– Add the app under Required Apps so Hexnode can install it on the devices.

3. Allow the app inside multi-app kiosk

– In the same policy, go to Android Kiosk Lockdown > Multi-App Kiosk.

– Add the app to the allowed kiosk apps or kiosk home screen layout.

4. Save the policy.

After the policy is saved, Hexnode will push the configuration to the assigned devices. The app should install automatically, and once it is also added to the multi-app kiosk list, users will be able to access it from the kiosk screen.
