Enable Lost Mode missing for iPhone or iPad in HexnodeSolved

I’m trying to manage a company iPhone that was not returned after a user left. In Hexnode, I can’t find the Enable Lost Mode action for any of our iPhones or iPads, even when searching for it. Has Lost Mode been removed, or is there a requirement I’m missing? I can still see the option to lock the device, but I’m not sure if that is enough for a lost device.

Hi @timo-liam,

For iOS and iPadOS devices, Lost Mode is available only when the device is supervised. You can check whether an Apple device is supervised from: Manage > Devices > select the device > Device Summary > Device Basics > Supervision.

If the device is not supervised, Hexnode will not show the Enable Lost Mode action for that device. A normal lock action can still be available, but it only locks the screen using the existing device passcode. It does not provide Lost Mode capabilities such as placing the device into managed lost mode.
