Cannot install Hexnode agent silently on Windows 10 Home via PPKGSolved

I’m trying to enroll a Windows 10 Home device using a PPKG. The device shows up after enrollment, but when I try to install the Hexnode app/agent from the portal, it fails with:
“Remote agent installation is not supported on devices with Windows Home Edition.”
I also have the “Install Hexnode System Agent silently on Windows devices” option enabled under Hexnode App Updates. Is there a way to install the Hexnode agent silently on Windows 10 Home, or do I need to use a different enrollment method?

Windows 10 Home has native management limitations imposed by Microsoft. Because of this, Hexnode cannot trigger remote app installation actions, including the Install Application action or silent installation of the Hexnode agent, on Windows Home devices.

When a Windows device is enrolled using a PPKG, the package completes the initial work setup and enrollment. The Hexnode agent installation is then triggered remotely from the Hexnode console. On Windows Home, that remote installation step is blocked by OS-level restrictions, which is why the error appears.

For Windows Home devices, use the manual enrollment method instead:

  1. If the device was already enrolled using a PPKG, remove the existing management profile from Hexnode by selecting the device and using Disenroll device.
  2. On the Windows Home device, open a browser and go to your Hexnode enrollment URL in this format: https://<portal>/enroll/.
  3. Follow the on-screen enrollment steps and install the Hexnode Installer app manually.

This method is not silent. On Windows Home, manual installation is the supported workaround.
