Will Hexnode Mac Migration remove Intune if it is not in the current MDM dropdown?Solved

We’re moving macOS devices from Intune to Hexnode using Mac Migration. In the migration setup, the option to remove the device from the existing MDM automatically asks for the current MDM, portal URL, and API key. The issue is that Intune does not appear in the “Specify the Current MDM” dropdown. These Macs were enrolled in Intune using profile-based enrollment, not ABM. Does Intune need to be removed manually in this case, or will Hexnode remove it during enrollment?

For macOS devices enrolled in the existing MDM using profile-based enrollment, Hexnode Mac Migration can remove the existing Intune management profile automatically after the device enrolls into Hexnode.

In this case, Intune not appearing in the current MDM dropdown does not mean you must manually remove it. Since the devices are profile-based enrolled, the Intune MDM profile should be removed automatically post-enrollment.

The dropdown is mainly used for supported MDMs where Hexnode initiates removal through the existing MDM details, such as portal URL and API key. For the profile-based Intune scenario described here, manual removal is not required.
