We manage a fleet of iPads and need to update Jeppesen FD Pro from version 5.1.1 to 5.2.1. The app is already added as a required app in the policy and the policy is applied to all devices, but the app is not updating automatically on the iPads. Is there a way to force the update through Hexnode?

For iPads, keeping the app in a required app policy should allow Hexnode to install the app and apply newer versions when they become available. However, if the update does not happen immediately, you can manually trigger the app installation action again to push the latest available version.

Try the following:

1. Confirm that the correct Jeppesen FD Pro app entry is added to the required app policy.

2. Run a device scan and app scan so the latest device and app inventory details are refreshed.

3. Go to Manage > select the iPad > Actions > Applications > Install app.

4. Choose Jeppesen FD Pro and trigger the installation.

5. Check the device Action History to confirm whether the install command completed successfully.

Triggering Install app for an already installed app can be used to push the latest available version to the device.
