Allow volume button control on Samsung S21 in Android kiosk modeSolved

I have a Samsung S21 enrolled in Hexnode and assigned to a duplicated Android kiosk policy. Kiosk mode is working, but I was unsure how to let users adjust the device volume with the physical volume buttons. I already enabled the option to allow users to adjust volume, but wanted to confirm if anything else needs to be set in the policy.

For Android devices in kiosk mode, volume control depends on the kiosk peripheral settings configured in the policy. Check the following:

  1. Open the Android kiosk policy assigned to the device.
  2. Go to the kiosk peripheral settings section.
  3. Make sure volume control is allowed.
  4.  Confirm that the policy is successfully associated with the device.
  5. Sync or refresh the device policy if needed.

If the policy is applied correctly and volume control is allowed in the kiosk peripheral settings, users should be able to adjust the volume using the physical volume buttons on the Samsung S21.

Confirmed, it works now. The volume buttons are working on the S21 after checking the kiosk peripheral settings and policy association.
