License check failed (App Permissions) when saving edited wallpaper policySolved

I ran into an error while saving a wallpaper assignment policy in Hexnode. The error says: “License check failed (App Permissions)”.

The workflow was to edit an existing wallpaper policy that was previously assigned to a former user, then reassign the edited policy to a current user. I haven’t seen this error before, and other mobile setup tasks seem to work normally. Is this actually related to licensing, or is there something wrong with the policy?

This error is not necessarily caused by your Hexnode license plan or by an app permission configuration.

If the error appears while saving an edited wallpaper assignment policy, try the following workaround:

1. Go to the existing wallpaper policy.

2. Clone the policy instead of editing and saving the same one.

3. Make the required changes in the cloned policy.

4. Save the cloned policy.

5. Assign the cloned policy to the required user or device.

This behavior was observed with edited policies in some cases and should not affect other unrelated mobile setup workflows.
