Certainly @astrid. Could you please confirm the platforms on which you’re planning to deploy SentinelOne agents? Specifically, are these macOS or Windows devices?

For both macOS and Windows devices. We’ll be deploying it to multiple systems, so we’re looking for an easy and reliable way to manage the rollout.
Understood. Since you’re looking to deploy SentinelOne on both macOS and Windows devices, I’ll share the relevant deployment steps and documentation for each platform.
-
For macOS deployments, please refer to: Deploy SentinelOne on macOS devices using Hexnode UEM.
-
For Windows deployments, please refer to: How to install SentinelOne agent on Windows devices?
These guides cover the complete deployment workflow, including package preparation and script configuration.
If you have further queries, feel free to reach out.

Can you explain this part: “Generate a download URL for the downloaded MSI file by uploading it to a cloud storage platform/file sharing service”?
Sure!
This refers to creating a direct download link for the SentinelOne installer file (.MSI). The deployment script requires a URL that immediately starts downloading the installer when accessed.
Standard sharing links, such as normal Google Drive share URLs, generally open a preview page first instead of directly downloading the file. Those links typically do not work for automated deployments.
For enterprise environments, it is recommended to use services such as:
-
Amazon Web Services S3 buckets
-
Microsoft Azure Blob Storage
The general process would be:
-
Upload the SentinelOne MSI installer to the storage location.
-
Configure the file with public access permissions or generate a pre-signed URL.
-
Copy the direct object URL, ensuring the link points directly to the .msi file.
Alternatively, you may also directly upload the MSI package into Hexnode and deploy it from there, depending on your deployment approach.
Please let me know if you need assistance with any specific deployment step.
